I've been hunting/collecting artifacts for more than 25 years.
All are personal surface finds.
Here are a couple examples of some of my favorite finds, most were found in Southeast Tennessee.
Double Notched Tupelo Turkey Tail
Jack's Reef point...in perfect unused conditon. Has very nice needle tip point.
Cache of three ceremonial broke bentons.
Bannerstone... in excellant condition... found along the TN River, Oct. 2007. Photo on left taken in situ, photo on right taken immediately after mud was rinsed off and it was placed on the dry river bank.
Engraved stone gorget
Small clay pot, not in perfect shape, the handles are gone and it has some chipping around the rim, but otherwise in decent shape. It's a very rare surface find...it was actually found sitting upright in about a foot of water.
A few pretty decent points found over the years, all along the TN River
Here's a couple of points that make you say things like $#%& when you find them!
A really good Copena point, the only Cumberland point I've ever found, and a frame of Hamilton & Guntersville points. All found along the TN River over the years.
Gorgets. The top center is in great condition, hole marks both side but not completely drilled thru.
A couple discoidals.
Glass point found Nov. 2008 First one I've ever found and only the second one I've actually ever seen in person.
Nice Copena point. Found Dec. 28, 2008, along the Hiwassee River.
